Good news!

Long overdue, I know, but good news to report: I am cancer free! The surgeries have gone really well and I’ve been resting a lot. The pain is gone, just sore and completely exhausted, but I can walk again!

I’m not allowed to sit up more than a few times a day, for short periods of time, so no painting yet. Recovery will be gradual over the next year and I’ll have to change my all night binges of bending over the tablet painting, but that’s alright, I’m just so happy to be out of that pain. There is a chance the tumor will grow back or the disc may need surgery again, but at least I will be checked up often and monitored for any changes like that.

Thank you to everyone who has emailed me with good wishes, they mean so much!

I will be in surgery this Wednesday to remove the tumor that has been wrecking some havoc with my back and etc. So I will be recovering from that surgery for a little while and still recovering from the previous back surgery. So please refer to permissions in my previous post as I am unable to answer any but business inquiries at this time.

Leave of Absence

I’m afraid I must take a short leave of absence due to illness and upcoming hospitalization. I am unable to keep up with emailed questions about my art, especially permissions. So please use this as permission. Yes, you may use my art for non-profit use, as long as there is a c. What’s a man got to do to relax after a long day of making it a scorcher of an Indian Summer? A copy of Pickle Farmer’s weekly, a frothy mint Julep (Missy makes the best, real frost!) and a nice cigar… I can guarantee that the only person brave enough to switch cigars out for peppermint sticks of a man who can light it with his fingers would be Jackie Frost!
