So it's been quite a while since I updated. Some of you have so kindly emailed to ask how I am (thank you!) I had more major back surgery this past summer. My options were limited as my first surgery failed. I am now the proud owner of a spinal cord simulator, which has helped greatly with the nerve pain. It's not a cure, but I hope one day to be painting again on a more regular basis. The list of health issues seems endless, as does my descent into the life of a chronic pain patient. But getting a few diagnosis and learning it's "not all in my head" was the first step. Having an amazing Wife and life partner as my advocate is the biggest blessing!
So, that said, I am hoping this coming year will be less surgeries and more creativity. :) I have a slew of books that need to be sent out, edited and illustrated as well. But I am going to take some time to myself over the holidays here. Still trying to get the daily migraines under control, which is a major hurdle, but must be done before anything else. I sadly had to give up substitute teaching, but being a cat parent is hard enough these days! Still, life is busy now, not just friends, but a beautiful Wife who made me a step-parent to two amazing boys, as well as a lovely niece. I also am a proud Aunt to a gorgeous nephew and soon to be Auncle to a new nibbling on the way! So, life has been good to me ^^
I leave you with love and light! Blessings through whatever holidays you celebrate! And keep those good wishes coming, they are always appreciated <3
